They’re only two nurses, two voices among many thousands around the country and world. Can they speak for all? Are they THE experts? I don’t know but today they are my experts so listen and do with it what you will. I'm going to listen with an open mind and heart. I have been on the fence about getting the vaccine and my purpose today was to see if they could talk me off. Lets see how this goes. #covid #hatecovid #getthevaccine #antivaccine #antivaxers #parrishpodcast #parrishthethought #trustthescience #donttrusthescience #conspiracy #personalfreedoms #govtlies #medialies #mediaspin #utahvalleyhospital #whatistruth #eisenhowermedicalcenter #ventilator #covidpandemic #loveOneAnother #trustTheExperts #deadlyvaccine #VaccineSideEffects --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/parrishthethought/message

My guest today is Agent JP who has served as one of the 20,000 US Border Patrol agents for the past 20 years. He started his career right after 9/11 happened. That infamous day really set a tone for him about how he viewed security for our nation. He has worked in California, Arizona, Texas, and is currently assigned to the northern border in Washington State. He has done almost everything one can in the patrol: canine handler, undercover, simple working the line, ATV unit, specialty teams, worked with/assigned to FBI, DEA and DOD multiple times. Settle in for one agent's first hand perspective on immigration in the United States. Keeping the bad people out and getting the good ones in. #BorderPatrol #BorderCrisis #immigration #IllegalImmigration #dacadreamers #parrishpodcast #parrishthethought #mexico #southernborder #lawenforcement #guysingreen #UndocumentedImmigrants #undocumentedandunafraid #unnacompaniedminors #cartel #smugglers #humantraffickingawareness #Congress #doyourjobcongress #PathToCitizenship --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/parrishthethought/message

On May 20, 2021, Bryan Woodcox tested positive for Covid-19. His only symptoms were a fever and body aches. They did a chest X-ray, and it looked completely normal. On May 22, he was having trouble keeping his oxygen saturation levels up, so he went to the ER at 9:30pm. A new X-ray showed that his lungs were “much, much worse.” A Covid Room was found at a different hospital, so he was transported there and admitted at 2:30am. The disease progressed such that in only 24-hours Bryan was unable to breathe on his own. Covid had inflicted extensive damage to his lungs. The medical team told us he had to be intubated, or he would die within the hour. They gave us time to say good-bye, because they did not expect him to ever wake up. We were told he only had a 5% chance of surviving. Bryan said “That’s still a chance.” He told me he was not ready to die, that he was going to fight, and to tell everyone to pray for a miracle. On May 24, 2021, at 4:30am, Bryan was intubated and placed on life support, in a medically-induced coma. We were told if he did survive, he would be on a ventilator for at least a month. After being placed on life-support, Bryan was transferred to U of U Medical Center, so that he could receive more advanced treatments. Our family asked everyone we know to pray for a miracle. Miracles began happening almost immediately. Within 24-hours his lungs had improved so much that his chance of survival went from 5% to 35%. Covid patients typically have good days followed by bad days, but Bryan never had a single bad day. He progressed so quickly that he was off the ventilator after just 5 days, and 5 days after that he came home! Miraculously, he is expected to make a full recovery, and he is well on his way there. This experience has been life-changing, and we are not sure exactly what the future holds for us, but we are so grateful he is alive, and we are ready for whatever God has planned for us. #covid #uofumedicalcenter #jordanvalleymedicalcenter #rewhipped #bryanwoodcox #parrishthethought #parrishpodcast #faithintrial #VaccinesBringUsCloser #prayerworks #miracleshappen #miraclesdohappen #covidvaccine #antivaxx #novaccine #mybodymychoice #chip --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/parrishthethought/message

My guest today is Kenny Wyland. Self proclaimed liberal, atheist, geek (software engineer and Star Wars fan) and capitalist. All the things Fox News warned us about and so much more. We sit down today to talk about the buzz and social panic that is gripping our nation regarding CRT (Critical Race Theory). We dive into what it is and a what it isn't. Should we shun or embrace it. Is CRT a way of understanding how American racism has shaped public policy, or a divisive discourse that pits people of color against white people? Liberals and conservatives are in sharp disagreement.
